17th International BRIDGES Festival Returns to Corinth

Cinema, Visual Arts, Theatre, Music, Education & Technology

19–25 October 2026 | Municipal Theatre of Corinth, Greece

HELLENIC LOS ANGELES MEDIA NETWORK | CULTURE & ARTS

Corinth is preparing to welcome Greek and international artists for the 17th International Multidisciplinary Festival of Corinthia – Peloponnese, “BRIDGES,” a week-long celebration connecting cinema, culture, creativity and international artistic collaboration.

The 17th International Multidisciplinary Festival of Corinthia – Peloponnese “BRIDGES” will take place from 19 to 25 October 2026, with the Municipal Theatre of Corinth serving as its main venue. The festival brings together filmmakers, visual artists, performers, educators and cultural professionals through an extensive programme of screenings, exhibitions, workshops, theatrical performances and educational activities.

Held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Corinth, the festival is organised by CineArt, a non-profit cultural organisation. Its mission is to promote artistic expression, encourage international cooperation and strengthen the relationship between contemporary creativity and local communities.

BRIDGES: Connecting People and Cultures Through Art

The name “BRIDGES” reflects the power of art, particularly cinema, to connect people, nations and cultures. It also represents the festival’s longstanding cooperation with international film festivals and cultural organisations.

The festival has received the EFFE Label, a European quality label recognising festivals for their contribution to the arts, local communities and international cultural outreach.

By bringing international artistic voices to Corinth, the festival aims to establish the city and the wider Peloponnese region as a meeting point for contemporary creativity, while contributing to cultural development, tourism and the local economy.

Highlights of the 2026 Festival Programme

1. International Film Screenings

The film programme features Greek and international short and feature-length films, alongside productions created by school students from the Corinthia region, in cooperation with the local Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education.

Through cinema, visual arts, theatre, music, education and technology, the BRIDGES Festival seeks to create an accessible cultural meeting place where artists and audiences can exchange ideas, discover new perspectives and develop meaningful connections.

Corinth and the Peloponnese on the International Cultural Map

The 17th edition of BRIDGES reflects the growing importance of multidisciplinary cultural events that connect international artistic production with local communities. By combining established cinematic works, emerging creators, educational initiatives and discussions on contemporary technological challenges, the festival offers a diverse programme for audiences of different ages and interests.

Its ambition extends beyond the screening room: to strengthen cultural participation, encourage international partnerships and contribute to the cultural and tourism development of Corinth and the Peloponnese.

As the festival returns to the Municipal Theatre of Corinth, BRIDGES once again places art at the centre of a broader dialogue about creativity, history, technology and the shared experiences that bring people together.
