A Bridge Between Greece and America
Together, these initiatives demonstrate the important role that educational institutions, cultural centers and community organizations play in keeping Greek traditions alive in the United States.
Through dance, literature, poetry and historical commemoration, Greek culture continues to reach audiences of different backgrounds and generations. Such activities also create opportunities for dialogue, collaboration and stronger cultural relations between Greece and the United States.
For young Greek Americans, participation offers a way to discover their heritage. For the broader public, it provides an introduction to a culture whose influence extends from ancient philosophy and literature to modern arts and contemporary creative expression.
