The Trump Economy Grows 3.4%, the Fastest Pace in a Year, as Violent Crime Sees a Record Drop

The Trump Economy Grows 3.4%, the Fastest Pace in a Year, as Violent Crime Sees a Record Drop — With Election Day Just Days Away on Nov. 3

The Trump economy is surging. New data released Thursday show the economy grew at a 3.4% annual rate in the third quarter, the fastest pace in a year and more than 50% faster than the second quarter. Business investment grew at its strongest pace in nearly 15 years, and consumer spending rose 3.8%. Inflation cooled, too: the PCE price index rose at a 2.1% rate, down from 5.0% the quarter before, and core inflation slowed to 2.5%. And weekly jobless claims fell to 194,000, hovering near their lowest level since 1969.

Americans are also safer. The Justice Department’s National Crime Victimization Survey found that violent crime fell 25% in 2025, the largest one-year drop in the report’s history, according to the White House. Aggravated assaults fell 31% and robberies 27%.

In Georgia, President Trump announced that Audi will build its first American factory, a $4.2 billion plant near Macon expected to create 4,500 jobs. The Administration also secured major energy deals to bring down prices at the pump, from Venezuelan oil to a $54 billion Alaska natural gas pipeline.

The White House warned that Radical Democrats want to take back the tax cuts President Trump delivered, including No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security. The President also took action to protect American manufacturing of robotics and industrial machinery, signed a technology partnership with Finland, and traveled to Mississippi and Ohio.

With Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and early voting ending this weekend in many states, now is the time to make your plan to vote.

WEEK IN REVIEW

The Trump Economy Grew 3.4%. The economy grew at a 3.4% annual rate in the third quarter, the strongest pace in a year and more than 50% faster than the 2.2% pace in the second quarter. Business investment grew almost 13%, its strongest quarter in nearly 15 years, and consumer spending rose 3.8%. Weekly jobless claims fell to 194,000, near a 57-year low. Read the release.

A Record Drop in Violent Crime. The Justice Department’s National Crime Victimization Survey found that non-fatal violent crime fell 25% in 2025, the largest one-year reduction in the report’s history, according to the White House. Aggravated assaults fell 31%, robberies 27%, burglaries 25%, and motor vehicle thefts 30%.

Audi’s First American Factory. President Trump announced in Georgia that Audi will build its first U.S. factory, a $4.2 billion plant near Macon expected to create 4,500 jobs and build up to 200,000 vehicles a year. From coast to coast, the President is putting American industry back on the map.

Lowering Prices at the Pump. The Administration secured major deals to unleash American energy: a historic agreement on 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil, with Venezuelan oil imports to the U.S. up more than 400%; a release of more than 130 million barrels of diesel by countries around the world; and a $54 billion deal with Korea and Taiwan to build the long-stalled Alaska natural gas pipeline, which the White House says will cut Alaskans’ energy costs by $10 billion.

Radical Democrats Want Your Money Back. President Trump delivered the largest working-class tax cuts in history, including No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security, and a doubled Child Tax Credit. The White House warned that the Radical Democrats’ agenda would take that money back and cost American households more than $35,000 a year.

Protecting American Industry. The President took action under Section 232 to protect America’s supply of robotics and industrial machinery, directing new trade negotiations with partners. He also signed a Technology Prosperity Deal with Finland on AI, quantum, energy, and Arctic shipbuilding. A new Council of Economic Advisers analysis found that permitting reform could raise GDP by up to $164 billion a year and save households up to $251 a year on electric bills.

Ending Discrimination in the Name of DEI. The White House laid out how President Trump ended illegal DEI practices across the federal government, with $7.3 billion in DEI spending cut or canceled, another $29.4 billion frozen or under review, and $453 million in settlements. See how merit is being restored.

A Record of Results on the Road. President Trump voted early in West Palm Beach, Florida, and traveled to Mississippi and Ohio, where the White House highlighted his record of tax cuts, new investment, and safer communities. At the White House, the President and First Lady welcomed military, law enforcement, foster, and adoptive families for Halloween on the South Lawn.

The Trump economy’s growth rate last quarter, the fastest pace in a year and more than 50% faster than the quarter before.

@realDonaldTrump

“Today I am pleased to report, in Breaking News this morning, that the U.S. Economy is BOOMING at 3.4 PERCENT — A Historic Level of Economic Growth. Consumer spending is WAY UP, Business Investment is WAY UP, and Investment in new Equipment EXPLODED by 21%, which means Record Numbers of Factories and Companies are being built and expanded in the U.S.A. Very importantly, Core Inflation remained LOW. We are smashing expectations — with today’s numbers beating 72% of economists’ forecasts. Our Economy is ROARING but, if the Dumocrats win the Midterms, they will burn it all down. If you want to keep this Growth going, you must vote REPUBLICAN! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
